Our History

  • In 1962 the Schiebout Agency became the Schiebout-Van Engelenhoven Agency, Inc. when Paul Van Engelenhoven became a partner in the agency.
  • Abe left the agency on October 1, 1964. He sold his part to Forest Hubers. At that time, the agency became the Hubers-Van Engelenhoven Agency, Inc.
  • In 1967, the agency bought the William-Top Agency, Inc. and the Van Strilland Agency, Inc.

  • In 1973-1974, the agency bought the Wes Holdorf Agency, Inc. Wes Holdorf had cancer. He only sold for Continental Western Insurance Company.
  • A new location and building was built in 1975-1976. The agency moved into their present location on July 1, 1976.
  • At that time, Jason and Forest Hubers sold the life insurance. Van Engelenhoven's took care of the property and casualty insurance.
